University of Calgary
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
July 4 – 7, 2019

Elasticity involves the ability to be shaped by an external force and to return to an original configuration if that force is removed. It refers to the adaptability and plasticity of networked connections, and although elastic tissue has a snapping point, it is far more resilient than inflexible materials.
Accommodation, Travel to Calgary, Visiting Banff
Hotel accommodation is in high demand in early July in Calgary. We have block-booked a large number of different kinds of accommodation through the University of Calgary and the Hotel Alma, which is located on-campus, just a minute’s walk from the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Participants are encouraged to book their accommodation early, as availability is limited.
About Calgary
Calgary’s traditional Blackfoot name is Moh’kins’tsis, and it sits within the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda.
